In Ultraman: Rising’s conclusion, Ken steps up to his responsibilities amidst a significant cliffhanger hinting at a sequel. This latest installment in the Ultraman franchise, which has been around since 1966, introduces a new hero in the Netflix original film. Ken Sato, son of the former Ultraman Teacher Sato, discovers that caring for a child is more challenging than battling giant monsters.

The final battle in Ultraman: Rising sees two Ultramen teaming up with a mecha-kaiju and a baby kaiju to confront Dr. Onda’s mecha. Gigantron, upon regaining consciousness, allies with the Ultramen to rescue her daughter and defeat Dr. Onda. Despite the KDF leader attempting to destroy everyone with his robot’s self-destruct mode, Ken manages to save his father and the kaiju.

While Ultraman: Rising may not have as many kaiju as Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Domain, it delivers action and references to past Ultra series and films. The movie concludes on a positive note as Emi and her mother arrive at Kaiju Island, followed by an intriguing post-credits scene.
