Time to escape to the Mediterranean.
Harry Connick, Jr. is embarking on a Mediterranean adventure in the romantic comedy Find Me Falling. Known for his roles in Independence Day, New in Town, and The Iron Giant, Connick takes on a new challenge as John Allman, a brooding, tattooed rock star—an intriguing shift from his usual roles.
Director and writer Stelana Kliris highlights Connick’s departure from typecast roles: “He’s stepping into the role of a solitary, intense rock star, which is quite different from what he’s done before. Plus, he contributed two original songs to the film, which added a special touch.”
Connick himself was drawn to the script’s depth and emotional range, stating, “I was captivated by the heartfelt, romantic, and tragic elements of the story. It seemed like a unique experience I wanted to be a part of.”

What is Find Me Falling about?
After his latest album tanked and his biggest hit lost its luster, aging rock star John Allman decides it’s time for a major change. He heads to a tranquil cliffside home on the stunning island of Cyprus, hoping to recharge and rediscover his muse. But John’s dream of staying out of the limelight quickly falls apart when he starts bumping into desperate locals and faces even more challenges when an old flame makes a surprising return.
“This story dives into different kinds of love—romantic, familial, and the dreams we’re willing to chase or sacrifice,” Kliris explains. “John’s journey boils down to a tough decision: does he pour his heart into his music or rekindle a relationship with the woman he left behind?”
“John’s a grumpy, disillusioned guy, fed up with his fading career and the rock and roll lifestyle,” Connick says. “He moves to this remote island, aiming to live in seclusion on a cliff. But as you might guess, staying out of the spotlight doesn’t last long. Life has a way of pulling him back in.”

The atmosphere there is incredibly warm and familial. Harry and I came from the U.S., and we were welcomed with open arms as if we were part of their own family. It’s a rare and wonderful experience in the industry.”

Does Harry Connick, Jr. sing any original songs in Find Me Falling?
In Find Me Falling, Harry Connick, Jr. introduces two original songs: “Find Me Falling” and “Girl on the Beach.”
Connick describes the process: “Stelana wanted one of the songs to feel like a big hit from the early ’90s—something my character might have performed back then. So, I wrote ‘Girl on the Beach,’ which has a sound reminiscent of early U2. The other song needed to be more poetic and melodic. It was a fun challenge to write a piece that matched what the script needed for another character. It was a different approach to songwriting, and I enjoyed the creative shift.”
Additionally, Whitney makes her musical film debut as Melina, an aspiring singer who performs in Greek.
She shares, “Singing in a film is already nerve-wracking, and doing it in a different language adds another layer of challenge. With my background in musical theater from UCLA, it’s surreal to now be performing in a film. It’s a reminder that sticking with your education pays off—so stay in school, kids!”
